Occupational Health & Safety Policy Development:
Many organizations incorporate Federal and Provincial regulations as their own. Our Team will work with you to develop
a company manual with policies, procedures and guidelines in any or all of the following areas:
• Hazard Recognition
• Materials Handling
• Chemical Safety
• Falling Hazards
• Confined Space Entry
• Electrical Hazards
• Physical Demands Analysis (PDA)
• Fire Plan, and

WHMIS Training:
All Canadian jurisdictions require that employers develop, implement, and maintain a worker education program that
will enable workers to work safely with hazardous chemicals. Education and training under WHMIS (Workplace Hazardous
Materials Information System) can be thought of as two separate parts. Education refers to the instruction of
workers in general information and training refers to the instruction in site-specific information.
Workplace Audits & Inspections:
Through critical examination of the workplace, inspections identify and record hazards for corrective action.
The purpose of inspections is to:
• identify existing and potential hazards
• recommend corrective action
• monitor hazard controls (personal protective equipment, engineering controls,
policies, and procedures)
Return to Work & Modified Work Programs:
Return to Work & Modified Work Programs are a proactive approach to helping injured workers return to safe and
productive work activities as soon as it is physically possible. While accident prevention is the best way to
reduce overall injury costs, an effective workplace Return to Work & Modified Work Programs are the best way to
manage costs after an injury has occurred.
Research and practical experience has shown that for workers who are absent from the workplace,
there is only a 50% chance that they will return to work after a six month absence, and
this declines to a 25% chance following a one-year absence.
