Every company should develop, post, and constantly update and reinforce anti-harassment policies that reflect the company’s values and comply with the law. In Ontario, two laws in particular specifically address the issue of harassment – the Ontario Human Rights Code (“the Code”), and the Occupational Health and Safety Act (“OHSA”). Under the OHSA, which requires employer to take every reasonable precaution to protect workers, harassment is also prohibited.
